Hello from the other siiiiiiiiiiiide (of the ocean)

yeah... I'm terrible with jokes. BUT I've been obssessed with Adele's new song. I have to say I predicted it and I'm glad I'm on the side of the world that gets everything when it comes out, unlike other countries (dhvdCHILEczhdj) that might as well be Narnia.

I did a whole lot of travelling during the half term so I can possitively say that I'm in love with this country
Nottingham
i'm terrible with updates and I'm being a terrible blogger again. soz

excuse my awful being with our friend bambi in Batman's mansion

I'm a Marvel fan but i couldn't help being excited about being in the house of Batman Himself!
Bruce wayne's mansion
still in nottingham, we went to the Robin Hood pageant! with joust and everything. it was really cool; we didn't go inside the castle which is what I wanted to do but there was a medieval festival going on and everyone was dressed the part!! I got really excited about the whole thing, since it was my first time being in one of these things!!

cheeky selfie with Friar Tuck
after being in Nottingham for a day, we moved on to Liverpool. and let me tell you this; I am completely utterly and madly in love with the city. I'm not even a huge Beatles fan but I felt like listening to them for the rest of the week!!

look who I run into!

mini London eye? Liverpool eye?

no idea who they were, just wanted to pose with them

we went to the Cavern club ( of course) and there was a Beatles tribute band playing!! they were awesome and they played a song about liverpool that was stuck in my head for the rest of the journey! if I find them again, i'll put a link to one of the songs!

after Liverpool, we went to York and, since I had been there 3 weeks before, I kind of felt home.
the place we stayed in was absolutely brilliant! and the food delicious! but after having 4 days of pure sunshine we were bound to get a little rain. luckily I had already done some sightseeing the last time, with plenty of sun to enjoy, so I decided to go into a Costa with a good cup of hot chocolate and read.

sadly for the girls, they had to go on a tour of the city under the rain and they were soaking wet when we met after they were finished!

the only wet thing for me were my eyes! since I was reading Me before You by Jojo Moyes. it's safe to say that its one of the saddest books i've ever read and I almost cried (which is a lot to say, even for me)
my precious

I enjoyed the trip a lot! and can't wait to go back to Liverpool and I'm preparing myself mentally for the trip to London that is yet to come.

before coming to the uk I promised myself I wouldn't buy books cause it would be too hard to take them back home with me. I've already broken that promise. four times. so now I am currently reading Dream a little Dream by Giovanna Fletcher.

I like it more that I liked Billy and Me already, so it's been a fun read! (although I blame her for my Harry-Styles-themed dream last night!)

that's it for today, it's the beginning of a new week and I'm sure it'll be a great one!!

D xx

things I learnt today (14/10):

- nobody cares about Chile ( especially the head of spanish)
- the hills in this city can be quite unforgiving (yey LBD reference!)
- never trust someone else to arrange your timetable. it will end up in you having to go to work for 30 minutes when the ride TO work takes about 1 hour.
- the best looking guys are in church! (Thank you Jesus!!)

look at my photos of the peak district, they're gorgeous and I'm a terrible photographer

it is a truth universally acknowledged...<3

Things I learnt today:

- opening a bank account in the UK is not easy.
- some people have it worst
- God has my back
- how to say "he is lost" in German and french!
              Er hat sich verlaufen  (De)
              Il est perdu (Fr)

Okay...

letters to autumn completely backfired. I was totally unaware of the amount of work I would have once I arrived in England! but I'm a bit more settled and I know i'll get more free time now. also Half term is coming and after 3 weeks I'll finally get to sleep!!

in other news, I haven't travelled much but I did go to York and it was oh so beautiful!! I think I'm in love with the city and can't wait to go back on the last week of october!

I've also made some really good friends and got invited to Germany which is always a good thing!!

that's all I have to say for now. I have to do lots of work related stuff so I might come back in a few weeks.

Cheers!

Dear autumn

this year you bring a whole new level of experiences. In my side of the world we're welcoming spring but I guess this year we'll meet again.
last time we saw each other (in march) I wasn't as excited as I am now, but believe me, autumn, now I was eagerly waiting for you to arrive and welcome you back into my life.

be nice, autumn, please. I promise I'll be nice to you too.

Ps. I got the idea of letters to autumn from youtube! it's just that I'm not really good at editing videos. so just wirting.

First of all, I'd like to start by saying that this is the 13464961473th time I have attempted to have a blog and I hope this is the last (meaning that I write in it not that I give up, of course)
so, let me introduce myself. I was born on the 18th of December, 1993 in a very long, narrow country in south america. I'm in my 4th year of studying to be an English teacher and I'll be travelling to the UK this september.

now, you might be wondering what this is all about and the truth is I can feel my heart burning up with excitement so I decided to write about it.

i'm in the middle of nowhere regarding my plans but we'll get there eventually.

just so you get to know more about me, here's a photo of my dog.

His name is Thor , he's a dachshund and the most adorable sausage in the world.

I believe that the only way to really get to know someone is by meeting their pets, and let me tell you, my baby is a very happy, energetic pup. so that's something.

that's it for now, Bye!
